Well the build turned out to be not as difficult as I imagined.
I hand soldered, and once I had sorted myself out with a tiny bit for my iron, things became much easier. The DDS chip and the 60Mhz oscillator were the most challenging devices to mount.

Getting ready for the case
I decided to install both 15 and 17 metres so have dropped the 80 metre band option. That gives me 15, 17, 20, 30 and 40 metres. (Steve provides the extra components for this at a small charge)
I've got myself a QRP radio kit from KD1JV.
The ATS-4 is a highly sought after radio, in fact so sought after, that when Steve, KD1JV, put 100 kits up for sale, they all sold out in about 4 hours!
Anyway I've managed to get hold of a kit and now the only daunting bit will be assembling those tiny SMD!
Well here we are again.
This blog pulls together all the other bits that don't currently have a home of their own.
Will it be regularly updated? Who knows, time will tell.
Enjoy...
